Bennie R. Goines, 46, died on September 13, 2017 surrounded by his family. His memorial service will take place this Friday at 10 AM at the Emmanuel Seventh-Day Adventist Church located on 1022 S Bengal Rd Metairie, Louisiana followed by a cook out at Lafreniere Park. Family and friends are asked to wear Saints apparel in his honor.

Bennie Robert Goines III, was born February 24, 1971 to Bennie Robert Goines Jr., and Carrie Goines Williams in New Orleans, LA. He was baptized at an early age at the Kenner Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kenner, Louisiana.

Bennie is the father of two sons, Dominique Henry and Jordan Goines. He was a devoted father that loved his sons very dearly and desired only the best for them. He worked tirelessly to provide for them, and to create opportunities for future success for both of them.

Bennie graduated from Alfred Bonnabel High School in May of 1990. After high school, he joined the workforce with an expertise in car detailing and later with his brother Ivy Goines opened their own enterprise. It was very important to Bennie that the business not only employ young adults, but that it would encourage and inspire them to further their education, and pursue their life goals. Bennie was a constant motivator to those in his life, and he not only encouraged them, but also supported many while getting their education.

Bennie was a kind and generous person, and he demonstrated the life of a servant by not only sharing financially, but also sharing his time, his kind words, and his delicious meals with an inviting smile that lit up the room. Though he may not have had an active place in a congregation, he continued to exemplify the character of Christ in his everyday life. God enabled Bennie to plant many seeds of love that will live on forever in the lives of those who were blessed by his selfless actions.

He will be cherished and remembered by: his loving sons, Dominique Henry and Jordan Goines; his parents Bennie R. Goines Jr. and Carrie Goines Williams (Edwin); his five brothers, Anthony Whitted (Royline), Ivy Goines (Lora Ann), Theron Goines (Linda), Don Goines; Edwin George Jr. (Keisha); four sisters, Angela Shoniwa (Edward), Sharon Smith (Raynell), Karen Goines; Katina Fourche (Davone); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and a host of friends.
