Christopher Denton Robinson, born December 8, 1978, passed away at his home on Wednesday morning, February 22, 2017. He was 38 years old. Chris was the beloved son of Anna Sorbet Robinson and the late Donald Clinton Robinson, I. He was the maternal grandson of the Lillie Bourg Sorbet and the late Joseph Sorbet, Sr., and the paternal grandson of the late Patricia Arvalene Robinson and the late Howard Clinton Robinson. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Clinton (Beau) Robinson, II. Christopher is survived by his nephew Beau Montgomery Robinson, his son Justin Liuzza, friend Ashleigh King, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. Christopher joined the United States Marine Corps in the fall of 2001 and was trained as a helicopter mechanic. He served tours of duty in Iraq as well as Afghanistan and his nickname in the Corps was “Winnie”.
Christopher was known for his very kind and friendly ways. He tried to get a smile or a laugh out of those around him and always had a joke to tell. On numerous occasions, Chris had an open door for those who did not have a place to live. He will be missed by many. Our hearts are broken and may he rest in eternal peace.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 4317 Richland Avenue, Metairie, LA, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon followed by a Mass at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Christopher to the Wounded Warrior Project online. They were very supportive of Chris after his discharge from the Military.
