Charlotte Lozes Todd, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to her heavenly home on April 13, 2017. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, she was blessed to have spent over a century on this earth and celebrated her 100th birthday on Mardi Gras Day 2017. Born February 28, 1917 to Frederick and Charlotte Clarke Lozes, she was pre-deceased by husband Lewis Junior Todd, brothers Eugene, Clarke, Frederick and Elbert Lozes, daughter Mary Elizabeth Todd (Allen Harvey) and grandsons John Todd and Juan Harvey. She is survived by sister Jewell Lozes Wunderlich, children Rev. Wilmer Todd, Bro. Terence Todd, S.J., Patricia Todd-Dennis (Tom), Thomas Todd, Charlotte Todd Sproul (Marty), John Todd, Timothy Todd (Vicki), Chris Todd (Susan), and Carol Todd Stamatedes (Michael); grandchildren Erin Todd Ham, Sarah and Ben Todd, Emily Santa Ana and Rev. Andrew Todd, Joshua, Seth, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Estefania, Victor and Paula Harvey, Ian and Trevor Stamatedes; great-grandchildren Alexis, Victoria, and Neiman Ham, Porter, Charlotte, and Beau Todd, Anastasia, Gustavo, Ella, Christopher, and Natalia Santa Ana, Oliver and Elliot Harvey, and Mary and Louise Harvey. Charlotte graduated from Dominican High School in 1933 and completed Normal School in 1935, and taught in the New Orleans public school system for three years until she married the love of her life Lewis in 1938 and began her family of ten. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Loyola University in 1970, and was an active member of the Loyola Faculty Wives Club, NAIM, Theresians, the Dixie Twirlers Square Dance Club, Dominican Alumnae and her cherished Sewing Circle. Her lifelong dedication and service to the Archdiocese of New Orleans were recognized when she received the Order of St. Louis in 1990.

Charlotte’s life will be celebrated this Thursday, April 20. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm, at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Road.
