Hilda Larcade Melancon, age 97, passed away Thursday, May 18 2017. Wife of the late Moise Belton Melancon. She lives on in her sons Ronald (Pam), Paul (Joan) Rudy and her daughter Mary Ann Theriot (Jim), eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Joseph E. and Noemi Prejean Larcade. Sister of the late Agnes, Wilton and Frank Larcade. A heart felt gratitude to her caregivers Lacey Case and Santos Martinez.
Hilda was a native of Acadia parish having lived in Lafayette, Millard, MS and in New Orleans most of her life.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 631 State Street, New Orleans, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM, with visitation at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Acadia parish. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Academy of the Sacred Heart, P. O. Box 310, Grand Coteau, LA 70541.
