Hodock, Shirley Jean Lanhum

Shirley Jean Lanhum Hodock, 86 of Metairie passed away on January 10, 2018 at 
Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice River Ridge LA. Shirley was born in Chicago, IL to Pauline and George Lanhum on April 14th, 1931. Shirley moved to Louisiana in 1962. She became an avid Saints fan, enjoyed playing bingo, loved Mardi Gras, St Patrick’s Day, and family gatherings.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parent’s Pauline and George Lanhum and her grandson EJ Zelaya. Shirley is survived by seven children Linda Cramer, Mike Sobota (Annie), Mark Sobota (Sondra), Delton Doucet (Roxann), Dale Doucet, Laurie Zelaya (Ewin) and Shannon Crowley. One sister Katherine Wargo. 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 12 pm to 1 pm at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie, LA. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimerfh.com.
