Alejandro Robles Reina, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 7,
2018 at 12:25 P.M. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Vilma
Marina Robles (nee Romero); his four children, V. Janet Brewster (Patrick) of
Lafayette, Louisiana, Geraldina (Geri) Kisner (Scott), Blanca Doll (David), and
Alejandro Robles, Jr. (Marie); seven grandchildren, Michael Brewster,
Christopher Brewster, Hunter Brewster, Alexander Doll, Reid Robles, Amy
Kisner (Anthony Castillo, Jr.), and Brian Kisner; his brothers and sister, Miguel Robles (deceased), Virginia Robles, Heriberto Robles; numerous nephews, nieces, and great grandchildren.
Alejandro was born in Yoro, Honduras, Central America, and was a longtime resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his CPA degree from El Instituto Patria in La Lima, Honduras. He retired from Chiquita Brands, Inc., formerly known as The United Fruit Company and Tela Railroad Company, after 45 years of service. Alejandro was a member of the CPA Society of Honduras and The Masonic Lodge No. 10 of Honduras.
The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at Ochsner Hospital and all who cared for him in his later years.
A Rosary will be prayed at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 North Causeway Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 6:00 P.M., followed by visitation from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 631 State Street, New Orleans, Louisiana on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimerfh.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
