AUDREY ALICE FRESH

Audrey Alice Marie Barrus Fresh passed away on August 26, 2018 in Covington, Louisiana, just one month shy of her 98 birthday. She was the youngest child of Reginald Jacquillard Barrus and Alice Marie Delery and lived most of her life in Jefferson Parish and later moved to the Northshore to be closer to her sons and their families.  
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Leonard Ellis Fresh, and her oldest son, Leonard, Jr.  She is survived by her sons, Farrell Thomas Fresh and Barry Carlisle Fresh, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.  She was a former teacher at St. Agnes School and served as President of the St. Agnes Altar Society.  She did extensive genealogical research on both the Barrus and Fresh families leading to membership in several genealogical organizations.  She was a descendant of one of the founders of the cities of Mobile and New Orleans and a Past Regent of the Francois de Lery Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a rosary on Wednesday, September 5 at 9 AM followed by a mass at 10 AM; at St. Agnes Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway Jefferson, LA 70121.
