Anna Mae Guzzo Saussaye, 95 passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon at Park Provence Senior Living Center in Slidell. Beloved wife of John R. Saussaye of 52 years until his death in November 2017. Daughter of the late Frank C. and Josephine D. Guzzo. Sister of the late Josephine Pecoraro, Vincent C., Joseph B. John M. and Samuel H. Guzzo. She also had many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews both living and deceased.
Anna Mae lived her life in New Orleans and was a long-time parishioner of St. Louis Cathedral. She was a recipient of the Order of St. Louis Medal from the New Orleans Archdiocese, the coordinator of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Oblate Guild, and extraordinary minister of Holy Communion and a volunteer worker at St. Louis Cathedral for many years.
Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, from 9:30 until 11:30 A.M., followed by a funeral mass at the chapel celebrated by Msgr. Kenneth Hedrick.
