Bella Alexis Achieng Oduor, age 8, received her angel wings on January 31, 2018. Beloved daughter of Felix Oduor and Keisha Nwaigwe Oduor. Sister of Layla Noelle Oduor. Grand-daughter of Joyce Oduor, Evan McGowan, Simon Nwaigwe and the late Vitalce Oduor. Niece of Jacqueline Oduor, Rosedelima Oduor, Susan Oduor and David Oduor, Dr. Ozioma Nwaigwe, Nkemolam Nwaigwe, Zimuzo Nwaigwe and Arinze Nwaigwe. God child of Rudolf Inoni and LaTeasha Thompson. Also survived by many cousins and other family members. Bella was born on October 17, 2009 in Baltimore, MD, she loved ballet, gymnastics and playing the piano. She was the apple of her parent’s eyes. Bella touched a lot of lives and brightened up any room. She was courageous through her short time with her since her accident at age 5. Her family moved to New Orleans to give her a second chance at life and want to thank everyone who went above and beyond to care for her, especially Children’s Hospital New Orleans and Ochsner Children Center. The family would like to thank staff, caretakers and therapists for the excellent care she received from them. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 6:00 pm with visitation beginning at 4:00 pm.
