Charles John DeLage

Charles “Chuckie D” DeLage passed on to the next life on May 11, 2018. A life-long resident of Metairie, he enjoyed  a career at Coca Cola until his retirement after more than thirty years of service.

Chuck never met a person he didn’t like but he particularly loved his annual retreat to Trout, LA with his dear friends.   An avid golfer and fisherman, Chuck enoyed the outdoors, rock and roll and his beloved family.

He will be forever in the hearts of everyone who knew him, especially his adored wife, Debra Toll DeLage , his cherished children Jennifer and Allison DeLage , granddaughter  Evelyn Rae DeLage , and expected grandson Joseph Toll Touchet who will hold him close and honor his memory all the days of their lives.

Preceded in death by his father Joseph Edward DeLage , Chuck is survived by his siblings: Paul DeLage , Denise DeFelice, Lisa Jude, Rene DeLage and Ernie “Big E” Toll Jr. and his “framily” Chris and Lisa Cressionnie and countless friends, including the “Metairie Lawn Gang,” who  have offered their love and support during this time.

A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held Thursday, May 17th at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home; 1600 N. Causeway Blvd with visitation beginning at 6 pm followed by a memorial service at 7 pm. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimerfh.com. Information 504 835-2341.
