Charles Folse

Charles James Folse, Jr. passed away peacefully on September 16, 2022 at the age of 75 from Parkinson’s disease. Beloved husband of Linda Cuadrado Folse. Father of James Peter Folse (fiancé, Rebecca Hardiman), Brian Charles Folse (dec.), and Kelly Folse Dieudonne. Grandfather of Christopher Michael Dieudonne, Jr., brother of Larry J. Folse (Peggy), and Kathy F. Scheuermann (Gabby-dec.).
Charles (Jimmy to family), graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1966 and Southeastern Louisiana University in 1971 where he met his wife, Linda. He was a member of TKE fraternity at SLU. He and Linda were married in August of 1971 and moved to Columbus, Ohio for a job with Libby Glass there, then followed to Shreveport, LA, for a job with Libby Glass Plant, then finally to Metairie for a job at the Kaiser Aluminum Plant in Chalmette.
When the Kaiser plant closed, he went to work as a manufacturer’s rep for Gregory-Salisbury Co. He later started his own manufacturer’s rep business, A.C.F. Associates, Inc. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church until Parkinson’s and Covid forced him to watch Mass at home.
Charles will always be remembered for his love of sweets, especially his daughter’s apple pie and anyone’s waffles. His favorite pastime was wade fishing at Breton Island. Family will always remember the cards he would give to Linda addressed to “My SWEATHEART”. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. A Visitation will take place at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70001 on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 9:00 am- 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will follow. Interment will take place at Ponchatoula Cemetery.
