Claire D. Sherrod, age 92, of New Orleans, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023 in her family home. Claire was born on September 13, 1930 to the late Alfred and Cecile DeBoden. She is happy to be reunited with her beloved husband, the late Jesse A. Sherrod Jr. She is a mother of two, a precious family member, and a friend to many. Claire is survived by her children, Cecile M. Sherrod MD. and Jesse A. Sherrod lll MD., her grandchildren, Quyn Sherrod Rahman MD. (Dr. Ayaz Rahman) and Jesse A. Sherrod IV, (Camille), her great grandchildren, Nia Edan Jacobs, Jude Raza, Noor Shaya, and Isla Sloan Rahman. Special thanks to Kim M. DeGruy for the love and devoted care she provided for eight years. Claire was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church for many years, where she served as Eucharistic Minister. She will be greatly missed by all who dearly loved her. She is now resting in peace in her heavenly home. Entrusted to Tharp Funeral Home.
