Clare V Bernard

Clare Vicknair Bernard, 71, of Diamonhead, MS, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021. She was born in New Orleans on September 28, 1950 to the late Roy and Clare Vicknair. She was an insurance underwriter and a past member of Insurance Women of New Orleans. She loved gardening and walking her dog, Zoe. She will be remembered for being a loving wife and mother.
Clare is survived by her beloved husband of 49 ½ years, Joseph Bernard Jr., children, Melanie (Micheal) Montgomery and Richard Bernard; her brothers, Raymond (Bonnie) Vicknair, Edward (Ruby) Vicknair, and her sister in law, Linda Vicknair. Other relatives include sisters in law, JoAnn (Billy) Smith, Joyce Bertucci, Jeanne (Robert) Thompson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Roy Vicknair Jr.

A Funeral Visitation will take place Friday, June 4, 2021 at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie LA 70001 from 10:00 am- 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service.
