Eileen Joan Fehr passed away on December 29, 2020 in New Orleans at the age of 74. She was born on September 19, 1946 in Lafayette, LA to the late Carl Ernst Fehr and Eileen Walshe Fehr. At an early age her family moved back to New Orleans. She is a graduate of Holy Name, Mercy Academy and Newcomb College where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and received a B.A. in Sociology. Her career as a buyer of women’s clothing spanned 30 years, first with Maison Blanche and then with Krauss until it’s closing in 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Carl Ernest Fehr. Affectionately known as “Yum” by her family and friends, she is survived by her half-sister Katherine Huber-Fehr of Klosters, Switzerland, niece Tara Huber Wanninger (Flavio) and nephew Thomas Carl Ryan Huber, both of Zurich, Switzerland. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Marjorie Geiser Fehr Thomas of Minden, LA and a nephew Carl Friedrich Fehr (Amanda) of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by great nephews Liam and James Wanninger and Carl and William Fehr. Yum was a loving aunt, voracious reader, seasoned world traveler and spoiler of her niece and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at a later time.
