Erwin John Williams

Erwin "John" Williams passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, and entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, August 21, 2022. John was born in Rochester, New York in 1967, and in 1984, he came down to New Orleans for the World's Fair. Not long after coming to New Orleans, he met the love of his life of 33 years, Julie Scuderi and the rest was history. They built a beautiful life and family together. He was one of a kind, the ultimate family man, and he never met a stranger, everyone he came across loved and admired him. Although he loved many things, he spent some of his happiest days spending time with family and friends, fishing, grilling for the Saints football games and overall living life to the fullest with no regrets. Erwin is survived by his wife, Julie Scuderi Williams; daughter Jessica Husson (Erich); sons John Williams and Jordan Williams; mother, Sharon Gilbert (Wayne); brother and sisters, Lesa Stone (Howie), Geary Moore (Carolyn), and Patsy Foster (Terry).

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie, LA 70001 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.. For condolences, please visit tharpsontheimerfh.com.
