Eula Anglin Leaber

Eula Anglin Leaber, age 72, passed away April 20, 2024 in New Orleans, LA. She was born on July 22, 1951 in Sylvester, GA. She was born the youngest of eight children to Lois Calhoun Anglin and Perry C. Anglin. She married Steven in New Orleans on February 14, 1975. They moved around making friends from New England to South Carolina and Florida. But she has always called New Orleans home. They retired there in late 2023. Eula was active in the General Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC) in both South Carolina and Florida. She is survived by her husband Steven, daughter Jane Alger, son in law Mark Alger, grandchildren Matthew, Colin and Amelia, sister of Sarah Rupard of Florida, James Anglin of Georgia and several loving nieces and nephews throughout the U.S.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of East Jefferson Hospital CCU and the team from Passages Hospice for the love and comfort they gave to Eula during her final days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at St. Clement of Rome Church, 3990 W. Esplanade Avenue, Metairie, LA 70002. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow in St. Louis #3 Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her memory. Arrangements entrusted to Tharp Funeral Home.
