Frances Simmons Comeaux

Frances Ann Simmons Comeaux, died Monday September 17, 2018 peacefully at Ochsner Medical Center. She was 67. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Eddie V. James; loving parents: Irene James Simmons, Clay O Simmons, and brother Clay O. Simmons. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and lived in Westwego, LA for the past 4 decades. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School of New Orleans (class of 1970) and also studied at a local Technical College. Frances leaves to cherish her memory her loving two daughters, Desiree Simmons and Lena A. Comeaux Turner, son-in-law Masike J. Turner; two grandsons, Camryn B. Turner and Andrew X. Turner. She also leaves to cherish her memory 6 siblings: one brother, Eddie I. Simmons; five sisters, Ruby D. S. Augustine, Linda F. S. Collins, Connie M. S. Smith; Wanda L. Simmons, Iraine D. S. Partman; and a large host of nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness member with 45 years of service.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Celebration of Life on Saturday September 22, 2018 at 1:30 pm with visitation from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm from Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N Causeway Blvd, Metairie, LA 70001.
