GLORIA MINETTE OPOTOWSKY

Gloria Gans Opotowsky passed away peacefully at the Poydras Home surrounded by family on June 10, 2018 at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Julian Katz Opotowsky, and married to Albert Regenbogen at the time of her death. She was the youngest of three girls born to the late Tennie and Abe Gans of San Antonio, Texas where she grew up until she married, Julian Opotowsky and moved to New Orleans to raise her family. She is survived by her three sons, Marvin Opotowsky (married to Linda A. Opotowsky), Randy Opotowsky (married to Kathleen Seither), and Saul Opotowsky. She is preceded in death by her sister Beatrice (Bea) Kline and survived by her other sister, Roselle Simon Lebo. She has three grandchildren, Henry, David and Matthew Opotowsky, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She had a very active social life and was involved in her community throughout her years. She worked with the Touro Synagogue sisterhood and volunteered teaching in Pre-K and Nursery Schools. She enjoyed life to the fullest and traveled the world with her first husband. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. A Private Graveside Service was held on June 12, 2018 and officiated by Rabbi Alexis Pinsky of Touro Synagogue.
