Hazel Viola Trammell

Hazel White Trammell, 88, passed away peacefully at her home in River Ridge on November 7, 2018. Wife of the late David H. Trammell. Beloved mother of Terry T. McCormick (Daniel), David L. Trammell (Terri), William “Bill” Trammell (Belinda) and Tim E. Trammell (Shawn). Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was a native of New Orleans and has called River Ridge her home for the last 64 years. During these years, she managed to create a home that to this day has become a symbol of love, caring, and togetherness that all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren cherish. Some of our greatest memories were created at the dining room table, where she never missed making a “Sunday Dinner”, sometimes for as many as 20 family members. She was generous, self-less and forgiving, always putting her family above herself. The examples she set have guided generations and will continue to do so because of the memories she gave us. It is because of these wonderful memories, she will be with all of us forever. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimerfh.com.
