Dear Henry,
My condolences on the loss of your beloved Jerry. He brightened the lives of those he touched with his passion for justice, his appreciation of the beauty in the world, his wit, and the light of his contagious smile. The characteristic that people are citing over and over and that surely reflects the essence of his spirit is generosity. It was a great gift to all of us.
Love,
Linda

My deepest sympathies for Henry and Jerry's brothers. He was a truly good man who always knew what it meant to give forward. I knew him from first grade through our many music activities in New Orleans until my departure to Baton Rouge after Katrina. Jerry was always a true friend and one who always gave selflessly to the doing of good. His pleasant personality and good works will be greatly missed. He loved life and all that went with creating goodness, truth, and beauty. To Jerry, well done you good and faithful man.

Words can not express the sadness of the loss of Jerry. I am proud to say I knew him and was able to call him my friend. I loved his wonderful bright smile and his participation and support of the arts. I will miss seeing that bright smile at LPO concerts, the opera and Petit Theatre along with the one sentence zingers that displayed his quick wit. A life well done Jerry but somehow I wasn’t ready for your last curtain call.
My condolences to Henry, family and friend. Yes Jerry will be missed by many!

Henry -- I am so, so sorry. Jerry was really a wonderful person. We had been friends for 54 years and I will miss him terribly. I am thinking of you and Jerry's family.
