Joseph Gabriel Feldmann, Jr., 99, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was born June 28, 1923, in New Orleans, LA. Son of Joseph G. Feldmann, Sr. and Agatha Jacobi Feldmann, brother of the late Gloria Feldmann Schreiber. He grew up in the Ninth Ward and attended Peters High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the 403rd Engineer’s Petroleum Distribution Co. during World War II. In 1948, he married Carmel Meyer Feldmann, his beloved wife of 74 years, and resided in Jefferson, LA. He is survived by his wife, two children Kim Feldmann Simmons (Nolan), Gwen Feldmann Enderline (Raymond), and two grandchildren Kyle Nolan Simmons (Katie) and Laura Katherine Simmons. Uncle to four nieces and nephews. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the VFW Post in Harahan, LA. Joseph was a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church, where he served as a Lecturer and Eucharistic Minister for many years. He belonged to the School House Square Dancers and Bar-None Square Dancers. Joe was an avid Saints Fan, being 3rd in line in 1967 to buy the first Season Tickets. He was always willing to help whenever somebody needed a hand. Joe will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at St. Agnes Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson, LA on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10am with a Funeral Mass following at Noon. Interment to follow at Hope Mausoleum, 4841 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA.
