Joseph Brandner Illg, Jr. passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the age of 91. Husband of the late Ida May Stollte. Father of Joseph Illg (Barbara), Walter Illg (Yamille), and David Illg (Dina). Grandfather of Brandi, David Jr (Amber), Corey (Kathryn), Amanda (Ben), Evan, Kamryn, Daniel (Dominique), Jennifer (Brian), and Katherine. Great Grandfather of Drake, Kyleigh, Kyndall, Kennedy, Chandler, Katherine, Amelia, Maverick, Hazel, Andon, Anna Kate, Mikayla, Giuliana, Shawn David, Charlotte and Adaline, and the late Camilla. Son of the late Joseph Brandner Illg and Adele Schacka Illg. Brother of Adel “Sissy” Hertz. Uncle of Mark Hertz. Mr. Illg was a member of NOFFC New Orleans Fly Fishers Club.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation beginning at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM from Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N.
