Josephine Estrade Miller

Josephine Barbara Estrade Miller passed away on January 17, 2019. She was born January 15, 1938 in New Orleans to Paul John Estrade, Jr. and Mariena DeMatteo Estrade. She is survived by her four children Paula Solera (Kenny), Jay Miller, Lisa Savage (Troy), and Paul Miller, her grandchildren Hillary Brandner (Justin), Ellen Solera (Kevin Worack), Troy Savage Jr.(Nicole), and Christopher Solera and two great grandchildren Hadley and Cooper Brandner. She is preceded in death by her husband Herman Miller.
Josie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She lived for family, good food and socializing. She was happiest at family gatherings and loved cooking and entertaining. For many years she hosted a St. Josephs Alter attended by extended family and friends. She was an avid Saints fan an enjoyed her rituals for attending and watching games. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
