Juan Alberto Cruz Sr.

Juan Alberto Cruz Sr. passed away on Saturday February 18, 2023 at the age of 92. He was a native of Comerio, Puerto Rico and a resident of Kenner, Louisiana. Juan was a sergeant in the United States Army. He was proud to have served in the Korean War. He was a great dad and provider and he loved his family. He enjoyed farming, gardening and a great game of dominoes. He was the loving husband of 68 year to Carmen Cruz. Caring father of Carmen Cruz Hamberger (Robert), Juan Alberto Cruz Jr., Ana Cruz Klibert (Denis), Julio Enrique Cruz Sr. (late Jaenne), the late David Donald Cruz and Dermys Arelis Cruz. Son of the late Jose Maria and Josepha Cruz. Grandfather of Heather Hamberger Rousseau, Noel Marie Klibert (Lettie), David Joel Klibert (Katie), Victoria Fay Klibert and Julio Enrique Cruz Jr. (Sara). Great grandfather of Brent Andreas Rousseau, Fallon Kaylee Rousseau,Jlynne Hamberger, Ronald Hamberger, Larson Nathaniel Klibert, Minden Elizabeth Klibert, Elijah Daniel Klibert, Jacob Gregory Klibert, Solomon Joseph Klibert, Michael Nathaniel Klibert, Camila Sol Cruz and the late Robert Louis Hamberger IV. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Metairie, LA 70001 on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, Memorial Service to follow. A private inurnment will take place at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.
