Lynn Mary Vega

Lynn Mary Vega peacefully passed from this earth on January 14, 2022, at the young age of 77 years. She was the beloved daughter of the late Martin L. Vega and Sarah Ferrara of New Orleans and was preceded in death by her brother Toral A. Vega of Houston, Texas. Lynn graduated from Nicholls High School as valedictorian. She then attended The University of New Orleans, earning a B.S. in Liberal Arts with a major in Languages and a minor in Mathematics. This achievement led to a career with Shell Oil in New Orleans working with geophysicists in the search for oil in the Gulf, until her retirement.

With her love and compassion for all animals, Lynn adopted many stray dogs and cats, who were all invited to share her home until they crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Lynn leaves many relatives, cousins, friends and her lifelong friend, Carolyn, behind who will never forget her and will continuously love and miss her forever. Per Lynn's wishes, no services will be held.
