Marjorie W Laviolette

Mrs. Marjorie Wymer Laviolette passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the age of 95, while residing at the Mobile Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mobile, AL.
Marjorie was born on April 11, 1922 to Dr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Wymer in New Orleans, LA. She resided in New Orleans and Kenner, LA. She lived in Mobile, AL after Hurricane Katrina.
Marjorie was predeceased by her son Michael A. Laviolette, her parents Joseph James Wymer and Gertrude Wynes Wymer, her brother Joseph Lawrence Wymer, her sisters Jeanne Wymer Lister, Virginia Wymer Kucera, Katherine Wymer Kolt, Dorothy Wymer Griffin, Mary Elizabeth Wymer and Gertrude Wymer Kathman.
She is survived by her grandson Michael Laviolette (Tiffany), her great grandson Robert Laviolette and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was an avid ceramist. She won many awards for her beautiful pieces of ceramics and porcelain, many of which were lost during Hurricane Katrina.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA on Tuesday, April 10th at 12 noon with visitation beginning at 11 am. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
