Mary Elizabeth Holder

Mary Elizabeth Holder passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the age of 80. She was a native from Oklahoma and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Mary served the Metairie community as a nurse for 30 years at East Jefferson General Hospital. She served all the way up to retirement at age 60. Mary continuously demonstrated professionalism to the highest degree throughout her nursing career. During her retirement, she spent most her time reading history novels and traveling. Moreover, she was an excellent cook and did so with a joyful heart and spirt. There is truly no replacement for Mary and she will be greatly missed. Loving daughter of the late Vester Lee Holder and Clara Mae Sailors. Sister of Louis Holder from Houston, TX. Although she had no children of her own, she leaves behind Noritza Bravo who she considered as a daughter. Mary is also survived by her dear friend Charles Brown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Gathering on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Metairie.
