Mary A Turner

Mary A. Turner, 76, of New Orleans, LA passed away on June 5th, 2021. Born to Joseph J Benedict and Francis Vincent of Louisiana on February 13th, 1945, in New Orleans, LA. She will be forever remembered as a kind and loving woman devoted to her family.She enjoyed her family, gardening and cooking. Family always gathered for her gumbo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Francis; her devoted husband, Demp Curtis; her sisters, Shirley, Virginia (Jena) and Carrie; her brothers, Charles, Anthony (Nook), Joseph J (Junior), John J (Johnny), Salvadore (Sal), and James. She is survived by her daughters, Tanya Marie and Bambi Marie; her Granddaughter, Sarah Alexis; her brothers, Frances (Noona), Raymond, and Robert (Bobby) as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metaire, LA on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 at 3:00p.m. The family will receive visitors 1 hour prior to Service. Flowers will be received by the family.
