Myriam S. "Trini" Calero, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Trini was born in Managua, Nicaragua on May 13, 1933, to Adolfo and Maria Calero. Trini, was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Adolfo and Mario.
Trini was a "Marianite" sister for over 30 years, She earned a B.A. from "Holy Angels Academy" in 1956 and a Master's in Education from Loyola University in 1972. Over the course of her teaching career, Trini taught at "Holy Angels", "Holy name of Mary" and "Saint Agnes" as well as;  "Grace King" "Riverdale" & "Alfred Bonnabel" High Schools, to name a few. Trini often said: "Any student who has ever been in my class, will always be one of my kids" She enjoyed traveling, reading and "The wellness center" with her friends. Her retirement years were spent volunteering at "The People's program", painting and tutoring young minds. Trini is survived by her sister Martha, cousins, nephews, nieces and the many lives she touched and taught while on this earth. Memorial services will held on Friday January 26th , 2018 at 6:00pm at “St Christopher’s Catholic Church” 3924 Derbigny St (between Cleary and Manson) Metairie, La 70001 .
