NATHALIE S THOMAS

Nathalie S. Thomas passed away on Saturday morning, February 9, 2019, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, Louisiana at the young age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Vera Summers and her sister, June Bachemin. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, George P. Thomas; children Dean and Rhonda Whitney; her brothers Bill and Richard Summers; her granddaughters, Ashlee W. Barone (Steven) and Haley E. Whitney and her great-grandson, Asher Barone; as well as many nieces and nephews. Her daughter and granddaughters were very special to her. Mimi, to them and her husband, was very loving but always wore her thoughts and opinions on her sleeve. Nathalie spent her working life in cosmetic, retail and real estate businesses. Also fondly nicked named “Snake” in several social circles. She had a special talent in art and enjoyed the company of her art teacher, Peggy Bergeron, for many years. She will be sadly missed by all of the wonderful friends and relatives that she partied, dined and traveled with over the years. A Memorial Service will be at Tharp-Sontheimer Tharp funeral home at 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on Saturday, February 16th. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM with a brief prayer following. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life reception at Andrea’s Restaurant at 3100 19th street, corner of Ridgelake in Metairie from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
