PATRICIA A BRUNETTE

Patricia Ann Brunette passed away from natural causes on January 30, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Beulah Brunette of whom she cared for during their illness. Patricia also cared for Grandma Susie who lived to be 94. She was a resident of Metairie for most of her life but grew up in Uptown, near the river, attending St. Henry’s school. She was raised a Catholic. She was loved by Jefferson Parish children having served as their ‘lunch lady’ for over 20 years. Patricia enjoyed fishing and crabbing in Grand Isle and at the Lake Pontchartrain seawall. She was incredibly lucky at bingo and radio promotions and snagged many free tickets from the oldies radio station. She saw Elvis at the Beach and Wayne Newton too many times to mention. She was compassionate, friendly and generous. She loved animals. She’s especially loved by her Niece Emma and Nephew Labran and her friend Ms. Catherine, who was with her during the last months of her life. She will be missed by family, friends, and her good neighbors. A service is scheduled for Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14th from 11 am-1 pm at Tharp-Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway.
