Rita Ann Parta

Rita Ann Blanchard Parta born September 12, 1926, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the age of 92. Beloved wife to the late Nick Parta, Jr., and beloved mother to the late Floyd and Jack Parta.
Beloved mother/mother-in-law of Nick and Joann Parta, Bobbie Parta, Richard and Susan Parta Dillon. Beloved grandmother of Daniel Parta, Windy Hawxhurst (Chris), Cindy Taylor, Barbara Ann Ottesen (John), Sheri Elliott (Lacy), Vicki Thompson (the late Bryan), and Johnny Venezia IV, (Jessica). Beloved sister/sister-in-law of Doris Loyacano, Jimmy and Nikkiann Crockett. Also survived by 14 great grandkids and 8 great, great grandkids.
Rita’s life’s focus was the love of her family. Her other loves were sewing and gardening. Rita was the Queen of her family and her passing will leave a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA on Friday, February 15th. Visitation will begin at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
