Roger John Rappold

Roger J. Rappold passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Walter Rappold, Sr., mother, Lillian Messonnier Rappold and brother, Edward Walter Rappold, Jr.  He resided in Metairie, Louisiana. Father of Randy Rappold (Tristen), Cheri’ Lopez (Matt), Connie Rappold (Ty) and Darren Rappold.  Grandfather of Ashley Huggett, Jenna Huggett and Logan Huggett along with grand pups Cooper and Benji. Brother to Dennis Rappold (Barbara), Terry Rappold (Martha), Billie Jean Pirkey, Ronnie Rappold (Maxine) and Mary Ann Taylor (James). He is survived by his ex-wife, Irene Le Bon and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Roger will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and son.  He enjoyed gardening, crafts, being outdoors but most of all being with his family. Roger served his country for four years as a Sergeant in the Air Force. 
Although our hearts are filled with sorrow, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, family and friends. May he rest in eternal peace.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70001, with a Service starting at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, LA 70460.
