Willie Mae Marie Webre

Willie Mae Prestenbach Webre passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday afternoon, May 19, 2018. She was four days shy of her 89th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Marshall J. Webre Sr. Loving mother of Patricia W. Champagne (Gerald), Diane W. Rabalais (Robyn), Marshall Webre Jr., Robert Webre (the late Donna), Allen Webre (Cissie), and Jerry Webre. Sister of Ethel DeSoto and the late Clarence J. Prestenbach Jr., Chloe Ingerick, Beulah Windecker, Clothilde LaSalle, Dorothy Laurent, and Melvin Prestenbach. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Kim Champagne and Blake Webre, and her parents, Clarence and Louise Clement Prestenbach. Willie Mae was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for over 60 years, and was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. She devoted her life to caring and loving for her family, and will be greatly missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 North Causeway Boulevard, Metairie, on Friday morning, May 25, 2018 at 11:30.
