Willis Cotten

On December 23, 2020 Willis O. “Bo” Cotten, 72, went home to heaven to be with Our Lord and Savior. Born in Summit, Mississippi and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Willis was preceded in death by his mother, Iva Mae McGeehee, his father, Elliot Durwood Cotten, and his brother, Elliott McGeehee Cotten. Willis is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, close family members- Carl and Bettye Freeman, Carl Freeman Jr., Emma Lou Freeman, Grant and Courtney (Brenna and Bryson) Candies, Cole and Lauren Matherne, Eric and Candace Sanders, Dan and Carlena Roberts, Phil Schmidt, Robert and Pamela Schmidt, Phillip and Sandra Zumbro, Russel Freeman, and Dustin Freeman. Willis O. “Bo” Cotten received his bachelor’s degree in Social Work and worked for the State of Louisiana. Willis was a proud Veteran and an honorable man, who has never met a stranger. He will be missed.
Please join our family as Willis O. “Bo” Cotten is laid to rest. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., at Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit, Mississippi, on January 30, 2021.
