Jim, My heartfelt prayers will said for you & your family. I only knew Dot for a brief time at the Blowing Rock taiji camp. But her personality drew one in & she was an inspiration to me with her calmness, her confidence and always with a smile. Underneath it all was strength. Her outlook on life is something I hope to emulate.

Dot was inspired all through her life. It was catching. I shall miss our visits.

It is with great sadness that I offer condolences on Dot's passing. She has been a delightful presence in my life since she became part of Dr. Yang's Tai Chi community some twenty years ago. Her friendship, thoughtfulness and creativity were always a lovely addition to our workshops and retreats, and her absence has and will be distinct and palpable. We grieve for your loss... and for ours.

I was amazed to read Dot's biography, because she was so modest about her life. I only got to spend time with Dot at occasional taiji camps, but the person i got to know was warm, modest, generous and kind. Her generosity of spirit will be missed by all of us.

I knew Dot as a taiji sister. She had such depth of understanding both body mechanics and energy movement. I knew she was a dancer the first time I met her by the way she held her body and moved with such grace and confidence. Her laugh and openness was infectious. The room lit up a bit more everytime she walked in. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Dot was a gem.

Our deepest condolences to Jim and Dot's family. Please take comfort knowing how much beauty and depth of life she added to all of us around her, and how much we all appreciated her strength and courage in the time we've known her. We will miss you Dot and may God Bless You.

J. T.

We will always remember Dot as that shining moment in one's life-- the light which lit the room as she entered. Her graciousness and kindness was contagious, for she affected everyone with whom she came in contact. Cindy and I cherish the many years we spent knowing her-- the many social functions we attended together, and all the wonderful memories we now have of her time on earth. She is now rejoicing in her new found home in heaven. May God bless you.

I did not know Miss Dot. Based on what I've been told & the beautiful tribute, I missed out on a very talented, beautiful, giving spirit. I hope the family finds much comfort in the ripples created as she touched & moved thru life. Blessings & Peace to all.
