Edward A. Coon, Jr., born April 21, 1924, home with the Lord, November 17, 2017. Married to Josie Seeger Coon July 18, 1942, 75 years of love and friendship. Father of Gayle Coon McReynolds (Stanford) and Edward A. Coon, III (Linda). Grandfather of Tamara Schermerhorn, Melissa Scifo, Constance Callahan, Daniel McReynolds, Matthew McReynolds, Edward A. Coon, IV and the late Michael T. Coon. Also survived by 13 great grandchildren. He was 93, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie. Edward was a member of 7th and Camp St. Church of Christ, and member of the Local Union 60 Plumbers and Steamfitters. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment in Metairie Cemetery.
