In life, if we are truly blessed beyond measure, rarely a gift given to us, we meet a Michelle. I was given that blessing which lasted a life time and whose memory will forever live on. in your early years, you didn't want your talent to become commercial causing the light of vanity to fall upon you so you stood still. Your brush lay dormant for years and then.........
I love you and everything you stood for. For you see, I have been touched by an earth angel.
Fly high boo. Your wings are now stretched to thier full potential and I know your brush will fill the horizon for all to see.

Michele came to the senior center as an angel, offering her gifts freely and generously. Her passing is such sadness to me, yet I am glad to see what a beautiful life she led based on the loving compassion of her friends in her final days. I miss you, Michele, and everyone here at the Uptown Shepherd's Center sends their love and blessings to you and your caring companions. And a special kiss for Girlfriend, who brought you to us.

I've known Michele since I was a little girl. She was one of Zoila's friends that became part of our family. A sweet sweet soul. I am fortunate and was extremely honored when she gave me a copy of her masterpiece "I Cry For My City Today". My dear friend, you will be forever missed. Love you Boo.

Michele was such a sweet and loving friend. Through my brother, Jimmy Langham, she came into our lives in the early 1990's and Jimmy moved to New Orleans to work with her after meeting her in an apartment complex; in true fashion she struck up a conversation with Jimmy while he was on his balcony and she was coming home from work. She had that comfortable feeling about people because she saw good in everyone; she never judged. She was instrumental in helping him find himself as a person.
Michele had a special effect on people, she could make you feel loved and special as a friend without even trying. We had some great conversations in the past few years and I got to know her and how kind she honestly was, I cherished those talks and her support. She will be missed by so many but she leaves this world better for having been here. All the people she loved will never forget her and all her knew her will miss her. I hope she and Jimmy are dancing in heaven, as sad as we are to see her go I know he is equally as happy to have her in heaven with him and the hundreds of friends they shared. Rest in Peace Michele, you are one awesome person!!!!!

Your legacy is not only in the art you leave behind but in the imprint that you left on the many many people whose lives you impacted. I love you my friend. Rest well. Sweet dreams.
