Warren is the spirit of "USA". I had the pleasure of knowing him in the late 1990's. The Times Picayune did an article on June 4, 2000 , "New Orleans at War". It featured Warren and his experience in WW II, with details on D-Day. Warren walk me through the New Orleans WW II museum and give me details, you can only get from a Veteran.
An outstanding person!

I met Warren when I was fortunate enough to be his trainer at Elmwood Fitness Center, likely starting around 1996. Warren was an inspiration to me and many other people because he was so dedicated to keeping himself fit. He always wanted to talk about how he could still do pushups, even up to the last time I saw him just a few years ago.

Warren was very generous with his time and shared his WWII experiences and photos with me, at a time when I was starving for such information. I really enjoyed listening to him tell his stories.

I considered Warren a good friend even though he could have been my grandfather. I will miss him and will always think of him when I visit the WWII museum.

Please accept my condolences for your loss.

We were so fortunate to meet Mr. Willie during Hurricane Katrina and spend time listening to his life stories. In our home, we have "Willie salads" which always bring smiles and memories. Our love, thoughts and prayers to the Hotard family.

Even though I only knew Warren from our bowling league, I will always remember his smiling face and his friendly demeanor. Please accept our condolences.
